Ashley Machacek holds a BA in painting and BA in English from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. She has also focused on printmaking, specifically the intaglio process. Ashley’s studies in English have focused on 18th and 19th Century literature as well as women’s studies.
She is currently an associate member of NEXT Gallery Denver, in the Navajo Street Arts District.
Ashley is originally from Denver, Colorado and is pursuing her Masters in Art, Literature, and Culture at the University of Denver.

I actually first saw your work on the cover of the Albion Review, and I think it’s wonderful! I am on the 2009 cover, and received a copy of this year’s publication.
